Tackle Boxes

Tackle boxes allow you to store your Fishes, Hooks, Bobbers, baits, as well as modify your rod attachements! It's important to use the correct attachments when hunting for the harder fish 🎣

Aquariums ♒

Starcatcher features a dynamic multi-block aquarium to display your fish! You can interact with a few different items to change that block's decoration.

Starcaught fish placed inside will be scaled based on their size & weight percentile 🤏

Trophies & Secrets

There are a lot of Trophies to collect and Secrets to uncover! Keep your eyes out for bottles and you might just be able to follow along the story of anglers from many moons ago

Players can also write their own message-in-a-bottle and send them out to sea for other players to fish up 📜🍾

Cosmetics

There's a lot of different cosmetics to collect! Fisherman Hats can be found inside shipwrecks, whilst templates for your Rod & Tackle are found mostly through treasures!

Both EMI & Jei feature custom integration with Starcatcher's fish restrictions and ways of obtaining items, as well as the "information" tab

For Modpack Developers & Modders

• There are a lot of built-in configs available, both for client and server, make sure you check all of them if you're looking to customize the overall experience for a modpack!
• All the mods above have their fishes (and extra marine creatures) added as fishable entries to Starcatcher.
• If the mod also provides baits, that mod's fishes will be attracted to the respective mods bait.
• If the mod adds fishing rods (such as Aquaculture & Tide), they are not and will not be overridden by Starcatcher. You must use a Starcatcher rod, unless the mod's author has added compatibility on their side with Starcatcher's fishing minigame.

Each fish and trophy is fully customizable through datapacks, perfect for modpacks looking to further customize the fishing experience! Reach out to me on discord and I'll be happy to help.

Check the wiki (wip) page on how to add your custom fish or trophy json with your restrictions, starcatcher will handle everything else.
